Elizabeth Bridge Reserve Playgroup (up until the end of 2025)
Each Wednesday morning, Yarra Education and Disability in partnership with Japara Neighbourhood House hosts a free outdoor playgroup for children and their families at Elizabeth Bridge Reserve in Kilsyth.
The playgroup is free and open to all. No registration is required - just turn up!
When: 9:30am-11:15am, every Wednesday morning of each school term (weather permitting).
Where: Japara Bridge Gardens, Elizabeth Bridge Reserve, 39-47 Durham Rd, Kilsyth, Victoria.
NEW Intergenerational Playgroup starting 2026!
Starting in 2026, Yarra Education and Disability will be coordingating a monthly Intergerational playgroup out of Park Lane Croydon Residential Aged Care.
The playgroup will be free, open to all, and just like out at Elizabeth Bridge Reserve, no registration will be required.
When: 9:30am-11:00am on the first Wednesday of every month, staring February 4th, 2026.
Where: Park Lane Croydon Residential Aged Care, 295-299 Maroondah Hwy, Croydon, Victoria.

Education Support
Early education for neurodiverse children and children with a disability can be tough. Exclusionary practices, misunderstandings, and inequity can be all too common.
Yarra Education and Disability is here to help. We offer specialised education support for children and their families to help build capacity in all areas of their lives. These include:

We also offer learning interventions to help neurodiverse children and children with a disability prepare for and excel at school. These include:

• 1:1 Social Skills Interventions
• 1:1 Play Therapies in Early Childhood Settings
All of these early education supports are NDIS fundable if such supports assist your child in achieving their NDIS goals.
Disability Support in the East of Melbourne
Yarra Education and Disability offers comprehensive disability supports to children and young people. We specialise in assisting people with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Intellectual Disabilties, and behaviours of concern.
We look to offer long term, stable supports. Building a positive and long-standing relationship with clients provides a foundation for growth and development like no other.
Our supports - as all supports should - embrace each and every aspects of individual's life, including (but not limited to):
• Community outings and capacity building experiences
• Support with indepedent daily living skills
• School pick ups and after school routines
• Attendance at therapy appointments

Convenient and Flexible Professional Development
Are you an Early Childhood Service or Early Childhood worker looking for Professional Development opportunities?
Yarra Disability offers convenient courses designed to fit around you and your workplace's busy schedule. We travel to you and deliver bespoke courses that are tailored to your needs. We are able to deliver whole day sessions, after hours development courses, and even courses to select staff whilst your service remains operational. Courses can be delivered to large groups, small groups, or even 1:1.
Delivered by an experienced Early Childhood professional, our current courses include:
• Early Childhood Literacy
This course covers topics such common mistakes in literacy teaching, the efficacy of phonics instruction, foundational language rules all learners (and teachers) needs to know, and the peculiar difficulity of learning how to read and write in English.
• Inclusion in Early Childhood
Topics covered include pedagogical best practice for inclusion, the difference between a child simply being present and a child being meaningfully included, and how inclusion benefits all learners and teachers.
